Training for Local Authorities and Enforcement Agencies
The BPA provides specialist training for local authorities, enforcement agencies and other organisations whose work involves fireworks or pyrotechnic articles.
Courses can be tailored to meet the specific needs and responsibilities of your organisation. Whether you require an introductory overview, refresher training or detailed guidance on a particular subject, we can develop a programme that is relevant to your team.
The BPA has previously organised one-day seminars for local authorities and other enforcing authorities covering subjects including:
- Firework types, effects and fallout
- Appropriate safety distances
- Risk assessments for firework displays
- Relevant legal requirements and responsibilities
Training may also cover product categories, storage, licensing, professional displays and the identification of potential non-compliance.
Courses can be arranged for individual teams or larger groups and delivered at a suitable location or online, depending on your requirements.
