{"id":119,"date":"2011-06-15T10:50:59","date_gmt":"2011-06-15T10:50:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pyro.org.uk\/?p=119"},"modified":"2011-06-15T10:50:59","modified_gmt":"2011-06-15T10:50:59","slug":"new-purple-guide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pyro.org.uk\/?p=119","title":{"rendered":"New Purple Guide"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pyro.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/30.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-171\" title=\"30\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pyro.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/30.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"666\" height=\"130\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Have your say in drafting the new HSE Event Safety (PURPLE) Guide<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Agreement has been reached between the Forum and the Health &amp; Safety Executive (HSE) to rewrite the Event Safety Guide \u2013 better known as the Purple Guide.<\/p>\n<p>While the new guide will not be as comprehensive as the original, focusing mainly on health and safety at events, the EIF is committed to plugging any gaps by producing a series of additional guidances and bringing all these together on one website as a \u2018virtual\u2019 guide to event organization.<\/p>\n<p>Currently a Steering Group is being set up with the HSE to direct the project and Working Groups are being put together to draft the different sections. Although some changes may be made in the structure of the new Guide, it is anticipated that this will be much the same as the previous Purple Guide.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Register now<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The intention is that the process of rewriting the Guide should be as transparent as possible.
