Gateway Members
BPA Gateway Membership
Gateway Membership has been created for smaller professional display companies that are working towards becoming BPA Full Members. It provides access to the Association’s support, guidance and training while allowing businesses time to develop and meet the Full Membership requirements.
Who is Gateway Membership for?
Gateway Membership is intended for professional display companies operating as sole traders, partnerships or limited companies that are committed to becoming Full Members of the British Pyrotechnists Association.
Membership Fees
Gateway Membership is charged at 50% of the Full Membership fee.
Membership runs from January to December. Companies joining during the year will pay a pro-rata subscription.
Gateway Membership is limited to a maximum of two years, allowing companies sufficient time to achieve the Full Membership criteria.

Requirements
- Commitment to the BPA Code of Practice and Association Rules
- Full-year public, employer’s and product liability insurance
- Compliance with applicable transport regulations
- Understanding of legal obligations, including classification and packaging requirements
- Commitment to the BPA Firework Training Scheme
- Commitment to achieving at least one BPA Senior Firer per display site (with an agreed development plan)
- ADR-trained drivers where applicable
- A Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA) where applicable
- Suitable licensed storage facilities where required
Annual Membership Fee
£325 + VAT
Membership runs from 1 January to 31 December.
Companies joining during the year pay a pro-rata subscription, ensuring they only pay for the remainder of the membership year.
Progression to Full Membership
Gateway Membership is designed as a pathway to Full Membership. During the two-year period, companies are expected to work towards meeting all Full Membership criteria with the support of the BPA, enabling them to become fully accredited professional members.
