BPA Full Membership

The British Pyrotechnists Association (BPA) Full Membership is intended for fully established professional firework and pyrotechnic display companies operating within the UK.

Full Membership demonstrates a company’s commitment to professionalism, safety and best practice, providing customers, regulators and industry partners with confidence that the company operates to recognised industry standards.

Companies may apply whether they operate as a sole trader, partnership or limited company, provided they meet the Association’s membership criteria.

Requirements

  • Commitment to the BPA Code of Practice and Association Rules.
  • Appropriate public liability, employers’ liability and product liability insurance.
  • Appropriate licensed storage facilities where required.
  • Participation in the BPA Firers Training Scheme.
  • Appointment of a Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA).
  • ADR-trained drivers where applicable.
  • Suitable facilities and procedures for the safe preparation of fireworks.
  • Compliance with relevant UK legislation and recognised industry good practice.
  • Evidence of operating as a professional display company.

Annual Membership Fee

£650 + VAT

Membership runs from 1 January to 31 December.

Companies joining during the year pay a pro-rata subscription, ensuring they only pay for the remainder of the membership year.
